Testimonials can be very powerful for helping to establish trust and encouraging visitors to buy, sign up, fill out a form, or take whatever action you are after. For websites and online businesses testimonials can be even more useful than traditional businesses because visitors are often skeptical or hesitant to trust someone online.

eWedding’s homepgae includes a testimonial and photo, with a link to see more testimonials.
Assistly’s homepage includes a testimonial in large test with a photo of the customer.
The Resumator’s homepage includes a slider that shows testimonials and quotes from reviews.
Squarespace’s sign up page includes a brief quote from the Wall Street Journal, which certainly provides added credibility.
PSD2HTML’s website includes a testimonials page that shows customer reviews and ratings from Google Products.
Shopify’s homepage includes an area near the bottom of the page for a testimonial. Currently it is showing a testimonial from author Tim Ferris.
Doteasy’s homepage includes a customer testimonial on a paper note background.
The homepage of ElegantThemes includes a small area near the top for a testimonial. A new testimonials cycles in after a few seconds.
Clover uses a testimonial page and they display several video testimonials from their users.
The homepage of Ekklesia 360 includes a small area for a customer testimonial at the top of the right sidebar.
Themefuse includes a customer testimonial near the bottom of the homepage. Below the testimonial there is a button to view another.

Mint’s homepage includes user testimonials as well as quotes from reviews from high-profile publications.
Subernova’s homepage shows quotes from several reviews, and in some cases links to those reviews.
FreeAgent’s buzz page includes a video testimonial and several other brief text testimonials.
Xero’s customers page includes several testimonials with links to more detailed case studies.
The Business Catalyst homepage shows several testimonials, listed as “partner stories”, with photos. Each one includes a link to a more detailed case study.
