Instructions for Editing Skateboard Mockup PSD

These instructions are for editing the Skateboard Mockup PSDs.

File Structure

Below is the structure of the PSD file. In this instruction, we are using back.psd since this is the most complex mockup. We can edit everything in this mockup, deck design, wheel color, hanger color and design, and also baseplate color.

Step 1: Change Deck Design

Double click deck design layer.

You may find this warning dialog box. Just click OK.

Step 2

The layer is now opened as a separate file. This is the structure of our current deck design.

Step 3: Change Base Color

Let’s change deck base color. Double click layer base color.

In the next dialog box, select a color. Click OK.

Step 4

When you are finish, save the deck design file (Ctrl +S).

Step 5: Paste Your Own Design

If you already have your own design, you can paste it here.

Step 6

Save the file to update the mockup.

Step 7: Use Wood Texture

This mockup has a nice wood texture included, taken from Wood and Knot Textures. Click its eye icon to reveal this wood texture. Save the file to update the deck design.

Step 8: Change Hanger Front Design

Double click layer hanger front design. The layer will be opened as a separate file.

Let’s change its design.

Step 9

Save the file and close it to update the mockup file. Repeat this steps to layer hanger back design to change back hanger design.

Step 10: Set Solid Color on Hanger

If you want, you can use simple solid color on the hanger. To do that, double click hanger front design layer or hanger back design layer. Make sure to hide all avalaible layers by clicking on its eye icon.

Step 11

Save and close the hanger design file. Now, we have a solid red hanger.

Step 12: Change Hanger Color

The hanger default color is red. Of course, you can change it. Open Change Color group layer, select hanger layer. Click black white circle icon to open Adjustment Layer panel. Use the available slider to change hanger color.
