Instructions for Editing T-Shirt Mockup PSDs

This short tutorial will show you how to use t-shirt mockup.

Step 1

Take a look at our current mockup. Basically, this t-shirt mockup is very easy to use. You just need to activate color folder to choose the t-shirt. Currently, Green t-shirt is active. You can change the design or texture by double clicking on its layer.

Step 2: Change design

Let’s change its design. Double click layer design.

Step 3

You may find this dialog box. Just click OK.

Step 4

The layer will be opened as a separate file. This is what we need inside the design file.

Step 5

Add your design into the file. You can hide the sample design by clicking its eye icon or simply just delete it.

Step 6

Save file (Ctrl + S). You can return to the main mockup file. The design is now updated.

Step 7: Changing T-Shirt

I think this design is better on a black shirt. It’s easy, click eye icon on front of the Black group. Click eye icon of Green group to hide the green shirt.

Step 8: Move the design

Let’s say you don’t like its position. Double click design layer to open it. Use move tool the click and drag to move the design. Save the file (Ctrl + S).

Step 9

Its position is now updated. You can move it to any position, the design will always be inside the t-shirt.

Step 10: Changing Texture

Double click texture layer.

Step 11

Click OK.

This is the structure of our current texture.

Step 13

Let’s paste a paper texture.

Step 14

Let’s add vignete effect onto the texture. Create new layer and paint black on all corners.

Step 15

Add Gaussian Blur, Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Step 16

Reduce layer’s opacity to 10%.

Step 17

Save the texture file. When you return to mockup file, the texture is now updated.

Step 18: Changing T-Shirt

Let’s change the t-shirt again. This time choose Olive.

Step 19: Neutral Background

If you don’t like texture, that’s easy. Click eye icon on front of texture layer inside Background group.
