One Medical offers in-person appointments from more than 100 different locations, and virtual appointments anywhere. The company uses a membership model. Members pay an annual fee to get access to providers same-day or on-demand.
The design of One Medical’s website is beautiful. It features a color scheme of green and neutral colors and has a very calming look and feel. The typography is also outstanding. The design features high-quality photos and illustrations.
Flatiron is a technology company that serves medical and healthcare providers. The design is clean and appealing, with a blue, gray, and white color scheme. The mega menu in the site’s header makes it easy for visitors to find what they’re looking for.
Vital Strategies is a global public health organization with a colorful website design. The site’s blue header is seen on the homepage and secondary pages.
A red vertical bar on the left side opens up a full-screen navigation menu. And a call-to-action button in the header has a gold background, so you can’t miss it. The color scheme of red, blue, and gold throughout the site.
Some pages on the site also feature entirely custom designs and layouts. For example, the “Our Work” page is filled with gorgeous illustrations and different colors.
Medcorder is a medical app that can be used by patients and providers. The site’s design uses a bold color scheme that features violet. You’ll find plenty of beautiful illustrations that provide added visual interest. The illustrations maintain a consistent style and color scheme to create a cohesive look.
Here’s another site that features outstanding illustrations as one of the most prominent aspects of the design. If you don’t have the budget for custom illustrations, you may be able to find stock vectors at Vecteezy that work well with your design.
Invoy uses a light neutral color for the background above the fold. While the design features a calming combination of tan and green, there are also some bold colors in the illustrations, helping them to stand out.
Ivee is an app that allows patients to receive care at home. The design uses both light and dark shades of blue, and elements that need to stand out are orange (like the call-to-action button). There are big background images on a few pages, including the homepage.
Fatty15 is a fatty acid supplement for health and wellness. The site’s design is beautiful, while also communicating the specific benefits of the product. The homepage features a large image of the bottle on a beige background.
As you scroll down the page, the sticky header remains at the top of the browser, keeping the navigation menu easily accessible. You’ll also notice some subtle scrolling animation effects. The design features a combination of photos, mockups, and illustrations.
Who would have thought that a vitamin website could be exciting?
Health By Habit uses a colorful design filled with big pictures and scrolling animations. The products are beautifully showcased, and all the relevant information is also provided. This site is an excellent example of the power of professional product photography.
No transactions are processed at Health By Habit’s website. Visitors can click on buttons to buy the products from Walmart or Target.
Zocdoc is essentially a search engine and review site for providers. You can search for a doctor, dentist, or specialist in your area. You’ll see reviews and ratings left by the provider’s patients, so you can feel confident with your choice.
There are a few interesting features that make Zocdoc extremely useful. First, you can enter your preferred day for an appointment and the search results will show the availability of each provider on that day, as well as other similar dates.
You can also enter your insurance carrier and plan information to find a provider that accepts your insurance plan.
The site uses a fairly simple design, but it looks great and it’s very user-friendly.
Fettle helps patients in Ireland find online therapists and counselors. The site uses a pleasing color palette of tan and orange. A link to the TrustPilot reviews is provided for social proof.
Some nature-inspired elements like flowers and plants are included in the design (as shown above). You’ll also see some custom nature illustrations when you scroll down the homepage.
Medical Provider Websites
Here are some real-world websites of center’s, clinics, and providers.
The website of DISC Sports & Spine Center doesn’t really look like the typical medical website at first glance. The full-screen background video shows active people having fun, which appeals to anyone experiencing back pain.
Throughout the site, you’ll see a lot of beautiful photos, including large header photos at the top of pages. This is a fairly large website, but it’s easy to navigate thanks to an extensive and intuitive menu.
The homepage of Baylor Scott & White uses a large background image behind a search for providers. Of course, the search functionality is a key part of the site, but visitors can also find providers through links in the navigation menu.
Here’s a design that really stands out among other health and medical websites. It makes sense that a podiatry clinic would feature a photo of feet.
This isn’t the largest or most content-rich site, but it provides the basic info potential clients need. And it also looks great!
The Downtown Sports Clinic has two locations in Calgary, Alberta. The design features a blue and green color palette, as well as big, beautiful photos. Most secondary pages also include large header images.
This is a large site with a lot of pages, but the dropdown navigation menu makes it easy to reach all of the important pages.
This center in Wales uses a colorful design with a lot of photos. The navigation menu isn’t as extensive as some of the other sites featured here, and it’s hidden until the hamburger icon is clicked.
For the last section of our showcase, we’ll highlight excellent examples of hospital websites.
While the Mayo Clinic has a reputation as an excellent hospital, its website is also quite impressive. The design is beautiful and clean. Although there’s a lot of content on the site, it doesn’t feel cramped or overwhelming.
The dropdown navigation menu and site search in the header make it easy to find whatever you’re looking for. And although the site isn’t extremely image heavy, enough high-quality photos are used to ensure that it looks great.
The homepage of Lausanne University Hospital uses a full-screen background video. Visitors can also click a link at the bottom of the screen to watch a full promotional video with sound.
There are a number of scrolling animation and transition effects throughout the site. Some pages also feature beautiful, colorful illustrations.
UCSF Health’s homepage features a slider with four different background videos. The hospital’s accolades and rankings are also displayed prominently on the homepage.
The navigation menu is very unique. When you click on any of the links, a dropdown with more options appears. The dropdown features and animated wavy shape at the bottom.
Cleveland Clinic uses a blue and green color scheme. The navigation menus in the header and footer make it easy to access content anywhere on the site.
This hospital website includes a lot of content (news and articles) and the homepage has a similar feel to a news site where recent featured stories are showcased. The design also uses many high-quality photos for visual interest.
Like many of the other sites showcased here, blue is one of the most prominent colors in the design.
The homepage of this hospital website uses a large background photo that changes randomly each time the page loads. And like UCSF Health, Rush also displays its recognition as a leading hospital.
Green is the most prominent color in the palette, and gold or yellow is used for some of the call-to-action buttons. The site uses a megu menu in the header to help visitors find the necessary content.
Children’s National Hospital is another one that shows off the badges from US News and World Report. This type of social proof provides immediate credibility, which is especially important in the medical industry.
This design is more colorful than most of the others showcased here, but that makes sense for a children’s hospital.
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital also uses plenty of color, although its not quite as bold as the previous example. The design with flowing shapes and photos also works well for a children’s hospital.
This site includes a lot of content, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The navigation is logical and there’s plenty of whitespace used throughout the design.
